This is a digital painting version of a photograph of smoky lights from a series of mud lamps and lanterns. It was past sunset, and Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur Pink City, Rajasthan, India, was getting ready to host a concert of traditional Indian music for its visitors. These lamps and other decorations were part of the artistic efforts thoughtfully done by the employees of the fort. Mattresses had been laid out on the cobble-stoned open air spaces and walkways, amidst the domes and arches, ornate architectural marvels within the fort complex. The visitors and guests would just squat on the mattresses, and trade in their stressful lives for the soothing sights and sounds that the evening had on offer for them. Hi, my name is Sue Jacobi. I have always been passionate about art. For the first time in my life, I am now able to dedicate quality time to this passion of mine, and since recently, I am happy to be a full-time artist. My favorite medium is soft pastels, and I love to paint bright, cheerful images that brighten up any room and bring a smile to people's faces. Fun, whimsical and funky are words that I would use to describe my art style. Wildlife - animals and birds - are among my favorite subjects. I also love painting flowers.
