Shikha is one of the employees of the famous, sprawling Mehrangarh Fort in the Blue City of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, Inida. She is part of the housekeeping team, and sweeps and mops the marble floors of the palaces in the ornate fort, among her other duties. Here she is seen stopping by her work colleague Ramlal, wearing a turban headgear with a long tail in the traditional style, who works as a security guard at the fort. They chat and chill out for a while before going back to their duties. Shikha’s stance might look a little aggressive to some people (she stands with one hand on her hip and the other under a chin). Probably not a very common posture seen at the workplace when talking to a colleague. However there is nothing aggressive about it; her attitude is merely casual and laid back. And that’s a very common attitude, and posture too, in her part of the world :0) .

Hi, my name is Sue Jacobi. I have always been passionate about art. For the first time in my life, I am now able to dedicate quality time to this passion of mine, and since recently, I am happy to be a full-time artist. My favorite medium is soft pastels, and I love to paint bright, cheerful images that brighten up any room and bring a smile to people's faces. Fun, whimsical and funky are words that I would use to describe my art style. Wildlife - animals and birds - are among my favorite subjects. I also love painting flowers. Up close and personal, is often how I approach my subjects. Currently I am adding one new painting - fresh from my easel - each day, to my gallery... so visitors always have something new to discover :) I have...

Sue, this is a wonderful image. There are a lot of interesting elements, the movement and depth created by the columns and arches. The woman, Shikha, appears to be flirting with the camera, and at first glance, Ramlal, wearing the beautifully colored orange turban, seems to be looking at the sense, but in fact he is concerned about something beyond. Great color, terrific treatment, cool photograph! Rob Yaeger
