On a warm summer morning, ambling along at a leisurely pace, taking in the sights and sounds (mostly birds chirping in the trees), strolling along the cobble-stoned walkways, arches and domes of Mehrangarh Fort, I was struck by the natural beauty of this unknown local woman visiting the fort. Indians are fairly open to striking up a conversation with visitors and strangers, so I got talking with her. Her name is Rasika, and she does indeed live in Jodhpur, also known as the BlueCity, where the Mehrangarh Fort is situated. Although a local resident, Rasika loves to visit the fort frequently, often early mornings, just like today, when the sun shines bright but gentle. She says she discovers something new each time she visits� Not surprising at all�

Hi, my name is Sue Jacobi. I have always been passionate about art.
